Toledo Makes National News
Once again, Toledo is in the lime light. This after several residents on the 400 block of Holland-Sylvania received parking tickets. The residents were ticketed for parking on their unpaved driveways.
What is making this a controversial story is that the tickets were written by a the commissioner of the Streets, Bridges and Harbor division.
A couple years back City Council did give those in this division the authority to write parking tickets. But Councilman D. Michael Collins says they were only meant to write tickets to car parked on the street in the way of street sweepers and snow plows.
I have covered this story the past two days. And I am amazed with all the coverage it is receiving on national news. But here is a question for you. Do you think all this exposure over this issue will hurt Toledo’s image? Or is any news drawing attention to the Glass City good for the city?
