On Monday I went to Northwest Baptist Church (Toledo) to do a story about a “Right to Bear Arms Rally.”  I know it can be a controversial subject but no matter my beliefs or yours I met some of the nicest people at that church.

I attend a Baptist church myself, still it was a different kind of experience than what I am used to.

When I attend church people are friendly and we have moments in service where we hug each other and talk back and forth…but for me a complete stranger walking into Northwest Baptist it seemed as if most people went out of their way to say hello to me, intern Randi and photographer Chris.  Not just because we were with a television station but I truly believe they were genuine.

I think about 35 people shook my hand to welcome me.  With all the negativity out there and people who can be a bit stuck up or so into themselves…it was great to see so many positive people.
