The last days….

August 30th, 2010 at 11:02 pm by under News, Uncategorized

I am in the last days of my employment at FOX Toledo News. I began at the station as a reporter in October of 2004 and nearly 6 years later I’ve decided to switch things up a bit and take a job in Milwaukee, WI.

Over the years I’ve grown not only as a journalist but as a person. I’ve enjoyed meeting new people and delivering the news to you from the field and on the weekend anchor desk.

I will miss Toledo, my church family and especially FOX Toledo and the people I’ve worked with over the years. It was a tough decision but I believe this is where God is leading me at this time. So now it’s time to step out on faith and take on a new challenge.

Thank you Toledo!!!! Hey who knows maybe one day I’ll be back…..:)

This is serious folks!

The Northwest Ohio AIDS Walk is Saturday August 28, 2010 at International Park in Toledo. I am honored to have been chosen as one of the celebrity chairs for the event AND FOX Toledo News is a sponsor.
If you think it can’t happen to you or your loved one, think again. The statistics when it comes to HIV/AIDS across the nation and in our area are alarming. The AIDS Resource Center provides free testing and other programs as a way to prevent the spread of this deadly virus.

HIV/AIDS does NOT discriminate across color, ethnic or socioeconomic lines.

Support the cause. I know times are tough but if you can please donate. Click on this link and then look for the pledge tab. Type in “Tiffany” and you will find my team. Donate anywhere from $1-$50 dollars, however you feel moved. You don’t have to walk or attend that day to give.

Every little bit helps! Thanks in advance.

Good to know….

This past week I attended the National Association of Black Journalists convention in San Diego.  I am so glad I went because it allowed me to see the way the industry is changing and evolving with new media.  I feel pretty good knowing FOX Toledo is among those stations that are progressive when it comes to journalism as it relates to social networking, the web, and mobile news.

The National Association of Black Journalists will meet in San Diego this year and I will be among thousands in attendance.  It’s an awesome experience and a chance to meet great journalists from around the world and learn new skills.
